The main differences between melamine wooden doors and PVC wooden doors are their composition, performance, use, cost and environmental protection.
Ingredients and production process:
Melamine board: It is based on artificial boards such as particleboard and medium density board, with a layer of decorative paper containing melamine attached to the surface. Under high temperature and high pressure, the decorative paper and the base material are bonded together to form a melamine board.
PVC board: It is a plastic board made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as the main raw material, adding certain anti-aging agents, stabilizers, fillers, etc., and made by extrusion molding or calendering.
Performance Features:
Melamine board: hard surface, wear-resistant, not easily deformed, relatively good environmental performance, and has good decorative effect and high temperature resistance.
PVC board: It has good chemical stability, corrosion resistance, flame retardancy, and good decorative and processing properties, but its environmental performance is relatively poor.
Use:
Melamine board: often used in interior decoration, such as surface materials for furniture and cabinets, and also used in some building decorations.
PVC board: widely used in indoor and outdoor decoration, protection, advertising, construction and other industries, such as wall decoration, ceiling, billboards, etc.
Cost:
Melamine board: The cost is slightly lower than that of PVC board because its main material is particle board or medium density board, and these base materials are relatively cheap.
PVC Board: Due to the higher cost of PVC materials and production processes, the cost of PVC boards is usually higher than that of melamine boards.
Environmental protection:
Melamine board: In the production process, if adhesives containing harmful substances such as formaldehyde are not used, it can be more environmentally friendly.
PVC board: Since PVC materials may contain harmful substances such as heavy metals, their environmental performance is relatively poor. However, in practical applications, by improving the production process and using environmentally friendly additives, it can also be relatively environmentally friendly.
